This was stated by the Ministry of Health specialist Nikolay Briko at the conference "Regional immunization calendars", which was held on May'22.
"Russia needs to adopt the experience of European countries and create an electronic vaccination accounting system with the function of automatically reminding citizens about the next vaccination," as TASS informs the speaker said.
According to sociological studies to identify the reasons why people refuse vaccination, often parents are not opponents of vaccination. But they do not vaccinate children because of lack of information. They forget about the timing or waiting for a reminder to the doctor. An electronic system will solve this problem.
As of the beginning of 2018 in Europe ten countries use either electronic immunisation records or a centralised registry for childhood vaccinations, and seven for other age group vaccinations. Data on VCRs and targets show a continued prioritisation of paediatric immunisation in the majority of countries.
